Hope for the Hopeless

Have you ever felt that you could never do what Jesus did? Have you ever doubted your ability to live a righteous life? I think many of us would shake our heads in agreement to those questions. Here is some encouragement:

(This is referring to the baptism of Christ)

When God said, "This is My Son, whom I love," He included every human being. With all our sins and weaknesses, we are still treasured by our Creator. The light that shone down on Jesus is a promise not only of God's love, but of the power of prayer. We can be sure that our voices are heard in heaven when we pray for help. Sin had cut earth off from heaven, but Jesus connected it again. The light that shone down on Jesus will shine on us when we pray for help to resist tempatation. The Voice that spoke to Jesus speaks to each of us, saying, "You are My child, whom I love, and I am very pleased with you."

Our Savior created a way for the most sinful, the most needy, the most hated humans to come to the Father. All are welcome to go home to the mansions Jesus is preparing in Heaven.--Messiah, pg. 84

Praise the Lord for His loving Mercy!!
